JOB TITLE: Director, Institutional Sales
DEPARTMENT: Institutional Sales, Guardian Capital LP (“GCLP”)
REPORT TO: Senior Vice-President, Institutional Sales

JOB STATEMENT:

GCLP is an investment management organization providing investment management services to both institutional and retail clients. GCLP offers balanced fund mandates, specialty Canadian equity, fixed-income expertise and, investment management for U.S., International and Global mandates. Products are offered on a segregated and pooled fund basis. GCLP has an immediate need for a Director, Institutional Sales. The main responsibility of this position is business development within our institutional marketing team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Gathering assets under management (various product lines currently managed by GCLP);
• Developing business with a focus on the small-mid Canadian institutional pension, endowment and foundation marketplace;
• Assisting in the design and creation of marketing collateral; and
• Assisting with other directives in support of business development, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• University under-graduate degree
• Minimum of 5 years business development experience in the Canadian institutional pension marketplace
• Canadian Securities Course
• CFA designation or working towards
• Strong communication skills
• Strong presentation skills - ability to present independently in new sales meetings
• Professional work ethic
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Thrives in a entrepreneurial boutique environment

COMPENSATION:

Commensurate with experience
